The 8 Limbs of Yoga: 8. Samadhi: Remembering Our Wholeness

The eighth limb, Samadhi, is often described as enlightenment, but that word can make it sound far away or unattainable. At its heart, Samadhi is the experience of deep connection—a moment where we’re not separate from what we’re doing, feeling, or witnessing.

It’s the sense of inner spaciousness that sometimes sneaks up on us in meditation, in nature, or even in everyday life when we feel fully aligned and at peace. Samadhi reminds us that wholeness isn’t something to achieve; it’s something we return to by clearing the noise that covers it.
